The ancient Egyptian civilization is one of the civilizations that flourished in the region known politically in the modern era in the Middle East, and the adoption of that civilization in its prosperity on the existence of a renewable water source is the Nile River, which helped man to settle on the banks and the practice of agriculture and the creation of one of the first Great central states of antiquity.

Ancient Egyptian civilization is known as the Pharaonic civilization in relation to the titles that the rulers themselves called in those abyss, where the rulers considered themselves descendants of the ancient gods. The language used in those times was called Pharaonic because of the writing that spread on the walls of the temples and tombs built by the Egyptians, and that the holy writing used by the priests and rulers in their writings, contrary to the language used among the general population was called Demotic, Egyptians continued to speak the language until the Islamic conquest and the Arabization of the Egyptian state. At present, the Egyptian vernacular has many ancient Pharaonic and Demotic words, as well as the Coptic language used in Christian liturgy for the followers of the Egyptian Orthodox Church.

Ancient Egyptian civilization began to exist in the real and continuous existence since the unification of the Grand Kingdom of Egypt by King Narmer, before it was divided into two kingdoms Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. After the unification the Egyptian state continued to exist until it fell to the Romans during the reign of Queen Cleopatra, the last Egyptian queens, and since then Egypt became a Roman province until the Arab conquest by the companion Amr ibn al-Aas. The ancient Egyptian civilization contributed to the addition of many cultural achievements to the world through the knowledge of agriculture and stability and the establishment of the first major central state in the region. This has been accompanied by great achievements in various fields in architecture, sculpture, painting and the use of natural materials in Chemical industries, as well as a great knowledge of astronomy and mathematics. The ancient Egyptian civilization also established a distinctive cultural style through additions in the fields of arts and literature. There are many literary letters and judgment written on the papyri found in archaeological finds throughout Egypt. This civilization affected the region from Iraq, northern Syria, and even South Sudan and North Africa, to the present Tunisia.
